Marty: You must have got some kind of knock-off LeBra, cuz mine fits like custom made. In fact, I believe it IS custom fitted for the Contour. Looks great. About $79. As far as leaving it on during wet weather, I've had no problems... yet. LeBra claims that the material breaths well, so the moisture can get out. So far, I can support this claim. No mold.

I ordered a Colgan mini-bra from AutoSeattle.com for around $40. I believe they have a full-bra application for the regular Contour, but not the SVT. The mini-bra isn't listed for the SVT either, but it should fit. They custom order each bra so I'm still waiting on it (2 weeks now), but from what I've read, Colgan quality is second to none. ------------------ Louis Wang Sugar Land, TX 1998 Black E0 #3826 http://web.wtez.net/tw57472

A good bra alternative would be 3M ScotchCal Paint Protection. It's a 0.8mm clear plastic film that is applied to the leading edge of the hood and is 8-12" wide (I can't estimate, I can measure if you'd like). It costs about $130 to install in the Minneapolis area.
It provides good protection against scratches and dings without the issues (aesthetic and convenience) of a bra.

I returned the car bra today. Phew. What a hassle. Had to pay a %5 restocking fee (originally %20...but I refused to pay! YEAH!!). Anywho, my brother has got that 3-M adhesive on his 1998 Talon and swears by it. He even showed me how strong it was by whipping a rock at the front end of his car. Not one single scratch or dent. Cool. I will look into this. Now, I live in Ontario so the drive down to Minnie would be a trifle long at it's best. Thanks anyways!

In my opinion...."Not to Bra"....I have the 3M Rock Guard on both my SVT and Probe. The bra lasted only six months on the Probe. Too many hassles as mentioned above. The 3M is a little difficult to get accustomed to at first. However, once it is on you will soon forget that it is there. I would recommend this product to any enthusiast concerned about rock chips. It is a lot more subtle than "the Bra"

Ditto SVTcarboy, B&K automotive in roseville did the 3M to my wifes car and it works great! But I still like my bra (on the car that is, not on me 'cause that would be really twisted)

After a 12hr shift you can see a layer of hazy dust sitting on the car. On our night and weekend shifts every employee takes their turn washing/polishing the jet exhaust off their cars. I feel bad the airplane lovers who sit at the threshhold watching aircraft land right over their heads. There's nothing like breathing in fumes from Mobil Jet II! Tolulene in the oil is cancer causing and they sit there and suck it in. Hell, the box even says "contents partially unknown". WHOA. That last post has got me spooked! I live just north of the Pearson airport...but far away enough from their main flight path. Nonetheless, that explains why are summer skies are that wonderful shade of gold brown s*** most of the live long days. Seems we all need one of those "full-body bras"...just like the full body condoms we all saw in Naked Gun III.
Hum....novel idea eh? Anyone want to go into business?
