New to the forum. I have searched this entire forum looking to find an upgrade for our cupholders. The closest I found was a post with expired pics of a cupholder upgrade. Any and all information (pics/parts/advice)pertaining to whatever this upgrade amounts to is greatly appreciated.

The retrofit part number is XS2Z-5413562-BAA and they go for $10 at your Ford parts dept. To see them, look at a 2000 Contour in the showroom. I have the retrofit on my 99 SVT and it works great.

Thanks Ned M,

I will check into the part #. I live in Canada where there is no 2000 model to see. 1999 was the Contour's last year up here. Do you happen to have a picture of yours? Or maybe a pic from the 2000 brochure?

Cheers,
Kristoffer

When I inquired about the cupholders from Bill Jenkins, he sent me pics before I ordered them, they are a great improvement over the older ones. You can find his email under the "links&reviews" section, look at the company pages part, then look for Sentry Auto Parts.

Kristoffer,

Here are some pictures of the cupholders during an Austin-CEG meet last year.

The last one shows a comparason between the two.

I live in Canada. Just ordered the upgraded CHs for my 98. Dealer won't know what the hell you're talking about but just gice them the part number on the FAQ page. They cost me $17 cdn. (which jives since I hear they go for $10 US which is about $17 of our funny money)
