it reallys isnt that bad. my mom had my grandfather's mercedes shipped over from Germany. iirc, shipping and conversion was around $5-6k (about 10 years ago). new glass, cats-CA , something to do with the bumpers, and i think that was about it. sure is a PITA to get worked on though. every shop is like "we dont have that model listed in the computer, are you sure its a Mercedes?" even after telling them 5x that it was shipped over from Europe.
heck, join the Army/AF, go to Europe, buy one, theyll ship it over for peanuts. then convert.
