Its coil on plug bud. Look at the individual coils themselves, not the wires, and you can see the round shaped top (its wide too) that looks almost identical to the 6. They just use individual wires (that comes from a source out of view) to each coil whereas our 6s uses one wrapped wire loom that goes over the head but constains each wire and looks extremely fugly. (They probably didn't care because they assume the plastic engine cover would be on all the time. But mine isn't and I'm thinking about ways to make it look better myself.)

(Edit: Actually you can see the wire loom wedged in next to the plenum. But its a better looking setup than ours with the myriad of other crap and clips that is there.)
