And all that is after about a dozen updates to the ECU that Mazda has released that have improved mileage. Single-digit mileage was pretty normal when the RX-8 first came out, even though the EPA sticker still said 18/25.
1) you are taking everyone that B%#^&* on RX8 club about the mileage as your test group, not the best place to be looking..
2) I get around 15mpg on a 3 mile trip each way to and from work with about 6 stop lights (mine was built very early).
3) If you really think a car that redlines at a bit over 9k is going to get good gas mileage, you're looking at the wrong car.
And so this post isn't a complete hijack, I agree with the red vs blue stripes Roger!
