Parking ticket people suck. Don't do it. ... and most decent sized schools have real UPs. I like most of em here, didn't arrest me that once....

It is fun to give people tickets for parking like morons. And when you work for UP, they get to know you, and you will never get arrested or get a ticket unless you do something real bad. I have gotten pulled over twice for 40 in a 15 on campus, and both times the officers realized it was me and let me go. You can think of it as some form of work bonus.

One of the jobs around our campus that everyone likes is computer lab monitor. You get roughly $7 starting out to sit at a desk and surf the web or do homework. When a computer breaks you slap an out-of-order sticker on it, and occasionally refill the printers with paper. I lucked out and got an student IT job (I'm an IT major) but had I not gotten that job I probably would've taken a lab monitor job.

It is called work.
sorry, 18 credit hours of college (max allowed) and 34 hours a week is a bit much, and it's not like I BS around in my classes, on the deans list. add in a girlfriend, friends...I've been working since I was freshly fourteen, don't need any comments on "the value of a dollar" or "a good day's work"
as for bartending, I live in Maryland, there's only one county where it's legal for 18-20 year olds to bartend, a friend of mine does it, I've considered it but it's hard to get hired as an 18 year old bartender with no experience.

I work at a restaurant as a server...just started not too long ago actually. I agree with you it is EXTREMELY stressful at times...People don't really realize how bad it is until they do it themselves.
The only thing I can recommend thats quick money is being a server which you've already done or telemarketing. Its short hours with good money if you're good. My friend is a pool boy and makes decent money doing that, u get to make your own hours so thats always a plus.
There isn't much out there for young people (as far as having a flexible, low hour, high paying job) unless u want crap money.
