I'm also paying attention to your post. I've been kinda looking for something more college freindly. I have a white collar type job designing architectural structures (which is my major) but the amount of hours at times/ responsibilities/ and semi decent pay ($13.50/hr + time and a half over 40 hours.. double time on sundays). But man... the things I do during my job are stressful, leaves me drained by the evening when I go to school.. every day, mon through friday from 6:30PM until 11 at night. A vallet job would be VERY nice.. I worked as a porter for 3 years, so my driving/parking skills (not to mention, never ONCE hitting anything) are waaay beyond par. I need to look harder.... but yes, you guys keep the suggestions comming. I always thought about restaurant work.. but the money/work sometimes doesn't agree.

I would imagine bartending to be the best way to make money and still function in a college capacity. You don't mention where you're from, so I don't know what your state laws are.

Deliver pizzas. It's easy money.

$6/hr + $100/nite cash for 5 hours equals something like 25-30/hr on a good night.

And you just drive around which being on this site i assume you like to do. You can do whatever you want when ur out, like stop anywhere and free pizza too.

And don't listen to people with their "wear and tear" BS. I bought my car to drive it, not just look at it.

I agree bartending is a great job if you can get into it!

Otherwise I was paid pretty good as a detailer/porter at a car dealership. Its nice to drive around in new cars to pick up parts. Also you get hookups on parts/labor and if its not busy you can usually detail you own ride!

I was a bouncer at a "gentleman's" club. I'm 5'10" and 160lbs. I'm not cut at all and I've never been in a real fight in my life. I think the bigger you are, the more people try to mess with you. I made good money there, but the hours sucked. Usually 6pm to 2-7am depending on the night. You could try bar-backing at one of those places. My friend makes around 35k a year doing that. I've also delivered pizza. Just make sure it's not some big chain. I worked for Papa John's for 1 week and quit. There was absolutely no teamwork. Went to a local place and delivered for 3 years and made better money. I worked part time 2-3 nights a week and usually brought home $400 a month. The place was also near an area that bartenders and waiters/waitresses tended to live. They tipped VERY well. I would also deliver big orders to local bars and would get tipped very well. I would suggest pizza if you're going to college.

I think I made around $1200/month delivering pizzas working 4-5 nights a week. I worked for Hungry Howies which is a semi-big chain, I think they have b/n 400-500 stores.

Valet is good. If you have a Ruth's Chris nearby, the money's great according to my nephew who earned a lot towards his college tuition from there.

I work on campus, dispatching for the University Police on campus (yes they are real cops w/ guns, not renta-cops), and I also write tickets 3 days a week 2 hours each day between classes. Pays minimum wage ($6.15), but is very easy work. Maybe see if you can write parking tickets for your local police department, especially during the summer.
