I quit 3 times before I succeeded. I used the patch. It worked good for me the first time, but I started again. Second time was a 1/2 assed attempt. Third time I used the patches again and was determined to stop. Will power is 99% of it.

Now since I officially quit about 4 years ago I've probably had 1 1/2 pack total. It seems when I drink with my buddy I crave one soooo bad. And it's the most rewarding feeling having a cigarette after not having one for months. However, that feeling & buzz pass quickly and then you want another and BAM! you're right back. The best idea is just not to have one when you quit. The urge will subside shortly and you'll be so happy you didn't subcumb!

You will never loose the craving totally. You'll always remember the calm feeling you get when you smoke. Like after a big meal. However it's very slight and not often. I rarely ever think of smoking anymore. And when I do I just wait it out and it's gone.

Consider that when you quit your body begins healing immediately. It's nothing but good for you to quit. And quit for good. Those one or two ciggies now and then are actually quite a shock to your system and can have some pretty harmful effects themselves...

I wish I had all the $$ I spent buy smokes now. I'd be pretty darn happy with that load of cash!
