But what if Mei Ling was the right one for me all along? With Mei Ling, I am totally seeing sparks and feeling like a dopey lovesick kid, for the first time in my life.

Yes, I love my wife. We have that mellow, long-term relationship thing that I treasure. But what if I missed out on something important the first time around?

Pal, with this mindset, I'll bet my 401k that you will be cheating on your wife within 6 months if you start anything up with this lady, no matter how tame it is in the beginning.

I'll put that in writing, too.

"Mellow, long-term relationship thing"? You are married, you have dedicated your LIFE to someone else, and this is what your union boils down to? I may be off the wall, but you are sounding EXTREMELY emotionally detached and distanced from your spouse, which isn't a good sign to begin with...

Ultimately, you are going to have to decide what is more important to your whole being:

1) Betraying your wife with whom you have built up years of trust and care with for someone you've only known for a short time, or

2) Following your heart instead of your head, knowing that the cost of doing so may be terrible, but the reward may potentially be greater than the one you possess today.

Sexual chemistry and an "immediate attraction" may be grounds for exploring other fields with your understanding of the concept of marriage; it isn't with mine. Again, if this isn't something you can bring up to your wife in a plain and truthful manner, then that tells you your true motives, no matter how you try to mask them...

FWIW I'm with the herd here, and pleasantly surprised that we're almost all on the same page.

I wasnt talking to you, I was talking to caltour. You dont comprehend well.

Caltour, you already cheated when you even thought it was ok to be involved with another woman in any manner, sexually or otherwise.

Usually you quote when talking to someone other than the person that started this thread. Just like sigma did!

Don't follow that logic anymore. Hit the reply button of the person you're talking to or people will get confused.

Now quit thread-jacking.
