Yeah, exactly. Get over it. How many black people were enslaved/killed VS christians?? Last time i checked, black slaves weren't fed to the lions for the entertainment of others.

How many black people were killed/enslaved VS the Jews?? Is picking cotton THAT much worse than piling the bodies of dead, decaying jews into firepits ALL day long? Were black CHILDREN experimented on just to see basically what would kill them and how fast? The list goes on and on, and it's generally alot worse than the stories of black slaves here in the states. So why is it we only keep hearing about that? Tell me, exactly how bad did black people have it??

You don't know anyone who thinks the US owes them something? Turn on the TV. Look at folks like Al Sharpton and other public figureheads. Weren't there hearings recently regarding reperations for slavery? C'mon man....denial is a horrible thing.

And I'd hate to burst your bubble oh omnipresent ninja, but i have lots of interaction with black people. My closest friend is black, i have dinner with his family on a regular basis.

And why should the "uppity" people have to change either? It's a free country right? It goes both ways man. You're free to dress and act as stupid as you want, but don't get all offended when you walk into someone else's neighborhood and get looked at funny. The point you're not understanding is, it's human nature to classify everything based on how it looks. Especially people. And, we reject those that are "different" than us. That's never ever, ever going to change. Stop taking it so personal, it happens to everyone, not just black people.

The bottom line of this thread is that what he said was wrong, period and it damn sure is not my fault or anyone elses fault he thinks that way.




Don't hand me that "it's just their environment" chit! Hell, by that logic I should be one bad apple. People were killed on the corner of my block in brooklyn. Am I walking around dealing drugs and robbing people?? No. Bad parenting, laziness, and the belief that "the white man" is out to get you are what give alot of black people the image they have. Does it represent the whole community? No. Nobody said it did.

What's the bad image of white america? I'd love to know. 'Round my neck of the woods there aren't many people dressing like motley crue and throwing televisions out of hotel windows while their friends OD on the couch. I do notice alot of people wearing g-unit apparel and reciting Tony "Yayo" rhymes. And no, they're not white.

I did some work at a church in Harlem a while back. I met the janitor there, he let me in locked up rooms & such. One day these kids were walking down the street while he was outside, they called some white guy a cracker or something. I was walking out the door when he grabbed one of them and said, "boy do you even know what that word means?" They all replied no and so he explained it means "whip cracker." And so if you think about it, it's far form derogatory to white people. He smacked a few of them in the head and told them to get out of there. He turns to me and says "these kids nowadays, they got it better than we ever have and they act like fools - they're throwing it all away." I wound up talking to the guy for almost an hour. He was one of the kindest, most polite,well spoken and smartest people i've ever met. And he's lived through it all, IIRC he was pushing 80 at the time. He had no hatred, no ill feelings towards me or any other white people. I find it funny how people directly affected by slavery/segregation and the utter racism that was once prevalent in this country let it go faster than those who have never experienced it.
