Now I will talk about the hypocricy of the right wing involving the "Baby Hudson" case. The Baby Hudson case is paticularly galling becuase no one stepped up to help a mother who wanted to keep her baby alive in a Texas Hospital.
Baby Hudson suffered from a fatal form of dwarfism. Most victims of this disease die soon after birth--though some live through childhood. Baby Hudson defied the odds for five months.
Baby Hudson died on March 15. He died because the Hospital prevailed in the Probate Court where its lawyers, citing Texas's Futile Care Law filed a motion to take Baby Hudson off his respirator against the wishes of his mother.
The mother appeared on talk show after talk show trying to rally support for her son. Apparently the attorney representing the mother was simply outgunned by the team of attorneys for the hospital.
