Well it looks like a one-off sensationalistic case like this is what it takes to get Congressmen away from the bars on a Sunday night. With all the other much more important issues on the table you'd think they would have a better sense of priorities.

Rather than worry about gas prices, social security, or health care costs, they worry about some woman who is in a vegatative state in Florida, our govt. is screwed up bad.

Or maybe they are showing that they care about the life of EVERY individual in our society...
regardless of their ability to protect themselves...
I have a feeling that this woman's ability to EAT is much more important than .10 cents a gallas of gas, or a system that will be bankrupt in so many YEARS, or, funny you should even mention healthcare...With the right healthcare, there is a possibility that Terry could have been going through therapy instead of lying there...

Of course the fact that it's a media frenzy and an opportunity to solidify support from a large, vocal group of voters has nothing to do with it

The judges are upholding the rights of the person who is empowered to make the decisions and the rights of the patient to rest in peace. If the parents would just let her go, the judges wouldn't have to be involved.

Actually, republicans 15 years ago put her into the coma so that Bush could sign this law, bringing republican domination to the entire country.
