My Dad was put in that situation. Months before he passed he said he never wanted to live like that.
He had a stroke, survived brain surgery, but died first day of rehab.
I know he would not have wanted to live that life, and rehab would have done nothing to improve his quality of life; the woman's parents should know that.
From what I read I feel the parents are not accepting reality after so many years.
