i would think so if theyre talking about pulling the plug. if she is brain dead then there is no possibility of her "getting better" as her parents are hoping for. what a sad situation.
She supposedly, according to the parents and their supportice doctors, has the permanent mental state of a 6mo old baby. So she sometimes responds to some stimulus in the same way a young child would, she'll smile or move her arms around. Whether it's actually in response to stimuli or simply the brain doing random things is arguable. But she's not "brain dead".
Frankly, either way it goes, I don't see how anyone can argue that anyone would want to live in such a condition. Nor can I see how a parent would want to see their own child reduced to that.
