inregards to the suction cup thing, that is a great idea, but if you want to go cheap, use a plunger that is in good shape. should be able to pull out most of the problems

Seriously.. youhave no sunroof. If you can't get it popped, instead of spending 2600 bucks to replace the roof, get one of those full panoramic sunroofs or that cloth type one (can't remember what they are called. But that would be sick as hell, y'know?! THose cloth roll back roofs aren't expensive, either.. about a grand and they are usually universal and pretty easy to install. Go for it dude!

This company make a unviersal glass panoramic roof.. take a look at it, pretty sweet and would be killer on the tour. ALthough, you would probably need one liek on the G^ where the panels fold up (lack of room on the roof) or the cloth version that just kinda rolls up. There was one blue SVT that had this "rag top" roof.

That sucks!

Everyone in CA with car insurance has uninsured coverage. It comes with the policy.

This sh*t would fall under vandalism and would still be subject to your deductible but you might be able to get the insurance company to foot most of the bill.

You might want to file a report with the police. Maybe they caught a guy in your neighborhood doing this to other cars. My guess is they didn't stop at one.

Good luck.

wtf are you talking about dude? uninsured motorist?
perhaps he only has liability insurance, which wont cover squat. or even UIM which only covers you in a car accident with another vehicle in which the owner does not have insurance.
the only insurance that is mandatory is liability insurance.
this would ONLY be covered by comprehensive coverage, which apparantly he doesnt have.

you know, you could always add the extra insurance to your policy over the phone, wait a month, and tHEN file a claim...
sometimes they require you to come in for pics and sometimes over the phone is sufficient.

Read the original post. He said he couldn't afford uninsured motorist. But everyone who has insurance in CA has it. This is vandalism he never mentioned whether or not he had comprehensive.
