I've been looking to do something different then what i've seen done hundreds of time. I came across the audiobahn rack mountable amps and was wondering what everyone thinks of them. Specs look pretty good on them plus the install would look very clean, especially with the matching rack mountable cap and x-over. I know i risk getting flamed for asking this cause there are alot of audiobahn haters here but just like with every other company it seems like they make lines of product that are crap and their higher end lines that seem to perform very well i.e. cerwin vega stroker vs. hed series. Just wondering about this bacause it seems to happen with most all manufacturers, including very reputable ones.
thanks
Chris

I have Audiobahn subs and i am quite pleased with the results, alot of people refer to them as the honda of audio, but i personally don't think that they are too bad as long as you stay away from baseline stuff.

Not all audiobahn is bad. It's a popular brand cuz it looks good. The ALUM Sound Q series subs are pretty good subs, much better than their flame series ones. I have an audiobahn 4 channel running my doors, and i haven't had a single issue and quality is excellent. Now, if you really want some serious quality and performance look into some DLS. It's competition level equipment for sound quality, and their subs hit like crazy! I have one of their Iridium 10's, and it sounds AWESOME. The bass is tight and they can get really loud. I've had people mistaken the 1 10" for 2 12". They're amps are excellent and produce some of the best sound quality for the power output they produce. www.dls.seMy Audiobahns were really nice, but i decided to upgrade to a quality system instead of an SPL system. like I said time and time again

Your better off taking a dump in a shoe box, chrome plating it and hooking wires up to it.
Its overpriced and its only over rated because all the highschool kids who buy it because of the looks. Anything that makes a mild thud in their trunks is the best equipment ever in their minds.
If anyone thinks audiobahn is that good, they just obviously haven't heard what a quality system costing the same amount is capable of.

don't get your panties in a bunch. YOU asked for opinions, right? well, then that's what you're going to get. personally, i was trying to be kind about the stuff. to be honest, i wouldn't run it if it was given to me. i'd sell it and buy something that i knew was reliable and performed well.
