Well, I asked this before.... can't find the old post, so I'm asking this again. I bought a new battery because from time to time, after 24hrs of the car sitting still, I would need a jump. It happened again today which makes me wonder if its the alternator. Everyone says it is, but check this out; on my digital cap with the car running 30min after I needed a jump, it read 14.4 volts, and with the car off it read 12.8 volts. I am really REALLY hoping the alternator isnt the problem. I think it has something to do with the deck. The only time I happen to need a jump is when I physically press the "off" button and then remove the keys. How can that be a problem? Thats where you guys come in. You all know more than me, so could the fact that on my AVH-P6500DVD I have the emergency brake wire tapping into the ground wire so that I can watch DVDs while the car is in motion have anything to do with it? If it is the alt., can someone send me to a link where i can buy an alt and another link thats a how-to on installing?
