the torx size is either a t-10 or a t-15, cant remember which one for sure. and no a phillips head will not work, you will just end up either striping the screw or throwing the screw driver at someone.

Thanks. On my car, it was actually a T30 Torx screw. It made the change in about 20 minutes, following the instructions from the Mods section. It was DEFINITELY time, as the filter was really dirty !

bosch is the cheap ones that are made of the same stuff as cheap air filters, now the ones that are like 40 bucks from valvoline or 300 from the dealer, are the stock HEPA cabin air filters recommended by ford.

I wonder if K&N makes one? That otta be good for a +10 increase of interior ventilation horsepower!

I have heard the same thing. It is similar to the extra hp gained by all the Ricers for putting an "R" or "Type R" on their cars somewhere. My favorite are the Toyota Type R's.
