I searched in every forum I could think of. Does anyone know of a How-to to changing this Cabin Air Filter? It seems like it should be pretty simple, but my Owner's Manual says to take both wiper arms off, and I'm not sure that's necessary. Plus what special tool do I need? Are those Torx screws? What size?

Any ideas? Thanks.

The owners manual gives you the general idea, but you only have to remove the passengers side plastic panel, and the wiper arms are on the drivers side. There are two torx screws, not sure what size, and there are the two screws on top. Take those 4 out and the panel will slide right off, and there is your filter

Thanks. Autozone sold me one for $11, not Wix though, it is a Bosch brand. Will that work OK? Anyone know. I won't be able to try this install out until the weekend.

Thanks for the info. I am still learning this site.

Somewhat.

It filters particles from entering the cabin area. This is very helpful for allergy sufferers and such. It will clean out things like pollen and such.

Make sense?

i used the FAQ so didnt' take off the wipers, and it was easy. have the BOSCH too, from autozone... they fit okay.

my old filter was disgusting - so you'll realize why you needed to change them out.

I know it's been years since it was changed. Plus I had an oil burning problem a few weeks ago, so I'm sure it is pretty dirty.

Do you, or anyone, know the size of the Torx bit you need to remove the screws to get the grill off? Or will a philips head work?
