I found a procedure to test the fuel pump / pressure regulator in the Haynes manual. It involves using a fuel pressure gauge attached to the fuel rail. I am going to try it after work today. If the pressure is off is it more likely to be the pressure regulator or the pump? I know I will find out when I do the tests but I am jsut curious right now. Which part is more likely to fail? I saw that the pump costs close to $200.
