Well,
I replaced the fuel filter, checked and cleaned the MAF (air flow sensor) and replaced the IAC valve.
I also replaced the EGR valve and EGR solenoid (it was throwing a code)
I also checked to see that all the wires were seated correctly.
The problem (hesitation / bucking) seems to happen more upon acceleration. I don't know what else to look at here. Can anyone help?
BTW... there is NO check engine / MIL. Sometimes I whish it would throw a code so I know what's going on.

My question is, could this be related to the EGR system and if so what part is next to replace?
Any help is appreicated! Thanks!!
from your first post it seems as though you have an ATX. if it is maybe it is related to the tranny? also from what i have read the tranny is rev limited while in Park, i think 3500rpm?.
but if you meant neutral instead of Park then your tranny would not be an issue.
ohh and to clarify, the DPFE measures the pressure drop or delta pressure across a 2 inch section on the EGR pipe. this would not cause bucking when accelerating, it just makes sure that you have some vaccum or flow on that pipe. The egr opens up when decelerating so when the throttle body closes the engine will not feel like its choking.
someone can correct me if i am wrong here!

Well, is it a MTX or ATX?
How about putting some HEET (or gas stabilizer) in the fuel tank? Changed air filter? Maybe it is time for a new MAF sensor. And did you check the spark plug wires were in the correct order (remember it is 465 at the firewall side of coil)? And were they gapped 0.054 inch? And as suggested, maybe the fuel pump.

It is an auto tranny, rebuilt 1 year ago. The tranny seems to shift fine and the hesiation is NOT at the sift points. The bump / jerk isn't there at park anymore, just when accelerating while moving or taking off from a stop. Could this be TPS? Fuel pressure regulator? Fuel pump? Is there any way to test any of these?

Acceleration bump could be TSS.
As for the TPS, didn't TourDeForce suggest that in March "Also do THIS. TB cleaning. Also very easy to do with simple hand tools."
Fuel pump was also previously suggested by Pienstars.

I know this has ben mentioned before but I wanted some more opinions on the problem. Also, I was wondering if there was a way to test these components. Again, thanks for all your help everyone.

Yes, the Ford CD has pinpoint tests for them. Very long and drawn out.

Thanks, I found a procedure to test the fuel pump / pressure regulator in the Haynes manual. It involves using a fuel pressure gauge attached to the fuel rail. I am going to try it after work today. If the pressure is off is it more likely to be the pressure regulator or the pump? I know I will find out when I do the tests but I am jsut curious right now. Which part is more likely to fail? I saw that the pump costs close to $200.
