Alright so i was just looking at my intake, and from what i saw the only thing a kkm does is allow us to remove the cover ove the air filter, looking at the cover, the reason why we have to use the kkm is because the shroud clamps the filter to the maf, so what i was thinking was i would only keep the part which clamps the filter to the maf (3 in) and cut off the rest to make my own cold air, any help would be appreciated as im waiting for input to start cutting...Thanks
