Neither would I. I did the same "mod" on my truck.
I hung my muffler with bailing wire for a week when the hanger broke off. It swung back and forth like it wasnt connected to the rest of the exhaust. Thats about as ghetto as I have been with the car. The truck on the other hand....
Yup. 6 months with a muffler swinging around on some very thin wire. My mechanic gave me a pretty funny look when I tried to pass inspection that way. Oh, and the little exhaust tip rusted through and hung down, so I broke it off. Then there was just a hole in the muffler. Then more holes appeared in the muffler...
