Ann arbor....

Blk thats cool, I used to be Electronic warfare on the B-2.. I already have a TS clearance with something else that can't be disclosed via the internet. Even though its not active it would prob help me get a job. I would like to work for lockheed but would have rather worked for northrup in the mid 80's-90's B-2, f-23 period.

I should have about 2 years soo we shall see..

Actually, I work for Harris Corporation, in the Government Communications Systems Division. The Space Coast (the stretch of Brevard county from the Cape down to Palm Bay just south of here) has a variety of tech/aerospace companies (Northrop, ITT, Honeywell, JDS, Tyco, Rockwell, Intersil, Lockheed, Boeing, USA), many related to and/or spawned as a result of operations just up the road at Cape Canaveral.

LOL! I would hope you're not disclosing it offline either! I can't discuss my clearances and what/who I work with, but with the right company yours should be an asset.

Assuming you're after design, what area are you most interested in?

Honestly Im not quite sure at this point. Probably Aircraft design, Cancer cuasing composites are cool lol. I have a major love for EW avionics

What you do sounds pretty cool, have you ever been to the extreme climate testing fauclity at eglin or mcdill i can't ever remember what base thats at.. I think eglin

pm me if you do end up coming to AA. We can meet up, though, you'll probably be up on North Campus.

Yeah, I think it's the McKinley Climatic lab @ Eglin -- never been there though it's less than an hour south of where I grew up. We do most of our environmental testing here in our own facility, though expectedly our test capabilities are limited to the size and conditions expected for our products (vibe, pyro/shock, drop, thermal & thermal vac, altitude, humidity, salt fog). We'll farm out tests we don't have the capabilities for.

If you still have a penchant for avionics & electronics-related design when you get closer to graduating, there's plenty of companies that would have something up your alley -- Harris included. You might send your resume this way if warm Florida winters sound appealing --

Ya avonics are cool. Especially jamming techniques. I have enough to probably get me a job in that feild right now but i wanna get a ae degree..

I have way to many cert's and crap suppose a BS would do me good...

I was at the Climate building at eglin to watch a B-1 go into a deep freeze definatly wierd!

Whats the company you work for Harris? ive been to a couple places there can't remember the names they where bombarding me with avionic terms on top of terms then trying to get me to persuade higher people why we should run this package over the others. Crazyness...
