not a girlfriend but a close female friend was in the car with me when i was driving through a parking lot and some schmuck decided he needed to try and back out of his spot and into me as i was passing. i was already not in a mood to be messed with so i stopped, rolled down her window and "explained" rather loudly to him exactly what i thought of him and a few other personal slanders. shortly thereafter, the restaurant at which we were waiting to be seated was only a few doors down from where this guy was still idling; i decided i needed to confront him again face to face...bad idea. as i began to walk over she grabbed my arm and convinced me i should just leave it be.
not too long afterwards this same girl was so pissed at another woman who nearly caused me to broadside her that she demanded i pull over so she could run down the street after the soccer mom in a futile attempt to catch her and give her a beatdown. the language that came out of her mouth taught me a couple new words. one very scary moment followed by a very funny moment.

i too enjoy brake checking tailgaters but my method varies depending on if i am driving my car or pulling a trailer. when pulling the trailer i learned many years ago how to make it dance across the lane so as to scare the crap out of anyone right behind me. a 2ton trailer dancing behind a 4 ton vehicle will sufficiently scare most people...first time granny saw someone pass us this scared she said "whats his problem?" i told her "oh, he just decided he didn't want to be behind us anymore." to which she responded "what did you do to him?"
