I have found that when someone is all hyped up and tailgaiting you, that its a lot more fun and satisfing to laugh at them when they fly by! Not that this is a good thing, but nothing pisses off a stupid driver more than laughing at them! Another favorite is to hold the finger up against the window and act like your just driving, its amazing the double takes pissed off drivers will do. Havent done either of them in a while. Sometimes I will weave a bit in my lane and that usually gets them to back off a bit.

IIRC anger is a type of fight or flight emotion. Basically, your body is pumped up with adrenaline, blood pressure spikes, stress levels go up too, this makes nice rational thought kinda difficult. I suspect driving, no, human beings, were a long way off when anger/fear survival instincts evolved.  -Alex

Probably testosterone (young men don�t like to let another man get the best of them). I used to get into more confrontations when I was young. Now that I'm older I can see that it is easier not to get into fights or confrontations and it is usually to my advantage to avoid fights. Even if I win I still have to face the legal consequences.

it was the pillar right between the back window and the back door... The way the upramp onto the road was and the position of my car was... made it JUST right to have a blind spot for that particualr design of that car.

i had this today, it was on I-495 (for all the locals ) and the section i was on is 5 lanes. i was in the far left lane cruisin at about 78-80 and this lady comes from the middle lane, cuts across two lanes and gets into the left lane in front of me doing about 50-55. so naturally i flash the lights and hit the brakes, hard. she flips me the bird and i can see her running her mouth in her car. i didn't get really into a rage, but man, it pi$$ed me off

Once you meet me, you'll have met your first person to never have road rage. Sure, I get a bit annoyed when I get cut off by some ***wipe, but I don't go chasing people around. Twice that I can think of, the offending hole got pulled over later down the road & I just honked & waved as I went by... 
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
