Hey, sorry to do all this on the forums, but it's Saturday night I have no car.

Anyhow I got my y-pipe and it looks good, but the flanges for the manifolds don't line up right by about a half an inch. Basically the pipe does not line up right. If one manifold flange is on the other manifold is about .5-.75 inches too far away.

I know you've got good customer service so please help me out. I can't exactly take it to a muffler place because they would be assisting in the removal of an emmisions device.

You can ask the muffler shop if they'll do it under the table, and the worst they can say is no. I got a local muffler shop, not saying any names to put on my OFF ROAD Y-PIPE and weld it for $50. Just ask around, someone will probabley say yes and they are the best ones to go to for an exaust problem.

This is the reason we are putting flex pipes on each of the exhaust components. That Y-pipe probably fits another Contour or Cougar.

The y-pipe is on now... However, there is still a leak that I can barely feel with my hand, but not hear. Chris, what you said makes sense, being able to flex the yipe on the manifold section of the y would have made this install a simple bolt on.

Overall the y-pipe looks great, but I wish the fit matched the finish. Josh please take this as constructive criticism. I think it's great to have the support of companies like yours, and even better to have someone who actually pays attention to thier customers.

Let me know if there's anything I should do to get this completely flaw free?

I bet if future versions of this Y-pipe included at least one flex coupling on one part of the "Y" it would be a guaranteed fit for all. It might raise the price a little, though.

chris, i understand what your saying, but thats really not the reason for the flex pipe. however, you bring up a good point, and although thats not the flex pipes purpose (to line ends up) i still wouldnt mind looking into it.

Mine had the same problem...still does.
The rear flange doesn't line up perfectly with
the svt cat back. I had to use smaller bolts to
fit through the holes. The big beefy stainless ones I bought would fit but since the flanges
didnt line up exactly it was a no go. Also, the
rear bank didnt seem to line up either. I muscled
it tight enough where I dont think its leaking but the flex pipe looks like its stressing cause of it. Other than the fit, the y pipe is great quality and I like the fact that its already pre-welded just wish it fit better. I might someday, to go a shop and have them hack the y pipe flange and re weld it so it lines up better...might solve some of the problem.

I just wanted to make it clear that despite having to muscle the pipe into place, I am happy with it's performance. I am especially pleased to lose the disgusting sulfurous fumes every time I hit the gas.
