The people that made UDP's specifically for the Duratec and removed all harmonic dampening had no idea it would cause damage to the engine. Sure, it works great with other engines, but not this one. That little bit of rotational weight as well as the speed of the spinning accessories on the FEAD isn't that bad. If it takes 1-2HP to run them and to make sure things are kosher with the crank harmonics, I'll take the penalty.

The vibrations that are dampened with the DMD might actually help the engine run more effecient.

Leave the crank alone. Get some overdrive pullies for the P/S and alt. Less friction, same harmonic dampening.
