i remember when i had the zetec i got it up to 45 in 1st gear.. omg i thought i killed the engine it was roaring and the rev limiter was just starting to come one.. at first i thought it was fuel cut-of

Um...seeing mine is a ATX, somewhere between 5,750 and 6,250.

you can hit up to 8K on a zetec bottom end.

just gotta worry about valve float and your clutch first.

I regularly max out mine... so whatever the top rpm is before the ATX upshifts.

I did 7K the other day, but it was by accident. I was off the throttle, went from fifth, missing fourth, and hitting second. Solid poly mounts and 7K let you know really quick you are doing something you shouldnt be.

i thought the zetec will only let u go to like 6950rpm max doesent the gas shut off at 7000rpm.
