so I got talking to a new guy at work about cars, and he started telling me about his civic. Yeah, civic ex with body kit, 18's, and NOS! Then he proceeds to say that he has never used the NOS except for show, (I'm assuming that he liked playing with the purge valve), I respond sacastically "that's an expensive waste" and he GRINS and nods uttering "Yeah" LIKE IT WAS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF. Grrrr! So of-course I had to ask if it was an actual "NOS" brand NITROUS kit or another brand, and he gave me this "Huh? What do you mean?" look and changed the topic.
I hate people, and this has been my rant of the day.

I remember one time this guy I used to work with told me that Dodge Vipers ran 17s. And that his automatic Camaro he just bought was better for drag racing because it was automatic. People who say NOS are retarded though.

I agree, people suck. I think there's a pretty general agreement that we all dislike ricers/psuedo-musclecar guys, whatever. Just do what I do... offer to race them! Nothing like beating the car someone put $5k of crap from autozone into with a bone-stock '95...
**Disclaimer** Just do it at a track, kids, you will keep your licence longer that way.

Automatics are better for drag racing; just not faster. Most drags are bracket racing which requires consistancy, and autos are easier to be consistant with than a manual.

If you asked the Civic guy to race he'd probably say something like "why would I want to do that? " It would be cool, though, seeing as he'd probably manage to blow his engine through the hood when he hit the "naws" at redline
