Agreed. I've been pounding the snot out of a 10 Rockford Fostgate sub with a 1000 watt amp screwed directly to the side of the sub box in my work van for 6 years with no noticable loss of performance.
Your's is probably higher quaility stuff than mine. Go ahead and bet the hell out of it (when the kids not around).
