Ok, I looked into Jegs, would this work and what do you think?

Resonator replacement:

642-11215 2.25'' In/Out Muffler $69.99

For mufflers:

2 x Single Outlet, 5'' x 8'' x 14'' Oval Body
642-14814 2.25'' In/4.0'' Dia. x 4'' Long Double Wall, Angle Cut Tip | View Product $129.99

Which puts me at a total of $329.97 less my buddies 30% discount. I could get all 3 components for 230.98.

If I wait for my co-worker/friend to learn his sig welder better, I could get the install for a case of beer and some elbow grease.

What do you think? The Bassini is on GB for $550, but as far as I know comes with no resonator and some have added a resonator due to rasp which drives the price up even more.

The other option for install is a co-worker's neighbor (retired body shop owner) has a lift in his garage (unf, unf) and would probably do a better job than any local shop for less.

Please give me any advice you have to offer, do's/don't, whatever. Can I use the stock brackets? Since I picked the mufflers with tips I assume that those 3 things are all I will need. Is there anything I'm missing? Should I price out non tipped mufflers with the tip of my choosing?

The same mufflers for $102 on sale would be $90 from Jegs for me with discount...
