Xm now has an adaptor for sirius ready cars, Id look for Sirius to do the same soon also.
Would be nice to be able to buy Xm ready units and keepy my sirius stuff!

Actually, Dave is right, it's the P9. The 9600 is the high end of pioneer HUs you can get anywhere. The 960 is the premier version. THe P9 is the very expensive flagship.

 Neither did I.... I must say that cosmetically I'm not impressed. But the optical in/out is cool, as well as other features. $1200 though? I'll pass :-D

well that certainly wasn't the point of my post. any time i need to feel better about myself, i just shag steeda's mother. 
actually, i stated that because that has been my overwhelming experience with young people in car audio. cosmetics are more important to many than performance capabilities. and since your main gripe was regarding the looks of the unit, that's what i had to go by.

Ok, now that im sure you weren't trying to be an ass, let me clarify. I like performance and presentation. That's like having speed and power in sports. I'm not saying that "for all of that money, it should have some chrome on it for god sakes!" But what I am saying is that the presentation could be more advanced. It does have a good layout, and the abilities of it are amazing. It probably wouldn't do me any good since I'm not going to compete, so that's why I'll pass. For the right setup, I bet it's worth every penny

can i ask what it is that you would prefer to see out of it then? or at least what you consider a head unit with advanced presentation would be? while the layout of that h/u is "simple", it has a full oel style display...
