for anything over a 65 shot yes

Exhaust is a must for any shot of NOS.
uh, why?
A cooler thermostat and some coolant additive, like Redline Water Wetter is a good idea as well.
good idea, but running nos down a track for 15s isnt gonna skyrocket your engine temps
An oil cooler is a good idea for anything over 65HP.
is the stock oil cooler insuficcient?
Stronger internals are a must for anything over 100HP.
im not sure where you heard this, stronger internals wouldent stop detonation
I am by no means an expert.
agreed
Others will have more and perhaps better advice.
not to bash you but your a little ways off
the main thing you are concerned about when dealing with nitrous is detonation and running lean
Dry System
one nitrous nozzle 6" before the throttle body, in a dry setup the first few cylinders (via the UIM) get more nitrous the the last few, and there is no stand alone fuel adder (wet style)
to run more than a 65-70 shot you need the following:
high octane gas (prefferably with octane booster)
Fuel pressure regulator or other fuel managment device
if running more than a 100 shot dry (not reccomended) you MUST have a AirFuel ratio gauge to measure lean/rich situation, when running nos richer is better
also MUST have a ignition module, or Chip to retard ignition timing at higher RPM or risk detonation

going from 100-150 shot its pretty safe if you use a wet system
Wet System :
separate nozzles for each cylinder via the UIM, with the nitrous jets, Fuel also gets sprayed in, usually enough fuel to support the engine if the primary source gets cut off somehow, this is safer because as opposed to dry systems (where the first cyclinders get more N20 than the rest causing premature engine wear) and also adds fuel to make sure you never lean out (and blow your motor) if running a wet setup i would definately reccomend iridium spark plugs (denso makes them for our car)
also reccomended for 100-150 shot, chip or module to retard timing by 2-3 degrees

and im spent

I have run 100 in Linear mode a few times with the VCN2000 kit and no problems. I regularly run between 60 and 75. Always in linear...

I would avoid 100 and over unless you are a gambler and can afford the repairs should they be required.

I've seen nozzles in the TB...is that bad? I thought that was a pretty slick way to install the nozzle. laugh cool laugh
Also, why would the first few cylinders get more NO2 than the others? Is that proven, or theory? If it is so, could one just put 6 nozzles in the UIM runners; one for each cylinder?
Just food for thought. laugh

Thank you guys for all of your help... have gotten a great deal of help here on this. I will probibly shoot a 50 shot to start and make sure everything is running good. If all goes well, then I will re-jet it to 65-75. I don't want to push it, so that will be enough. Thanx everyone for clarifying everything for me.

Trapps... what plug should I run? Do you have a part number or anything like that for the plug that I would assume is 1-2 steps colder? Thanx!

Direct port, eh? Sounds pretty cool. Heck, if you're going the nitrous route, might as well go all the way, right. wink

Yea, but direct port will end up costing you 3-4 times the cost of the origional kit plus you will need a distribution block and 6 lines not to mention nosles and jets for all. That would get a little pricey. Once you have it all... are you going to start drilling holes in your UIM and welding ports for the nosles?

Does anyone have a plug recomendation for me... what exact plug should I get? Brand/Part#(if possible)?
