Hey again . I was wondering if anyone could give me any feedback on the KKM ture rev induction . If i were to get it would i need to make a heat shield. How much HP does it give, and does it make the engine sound any better. Also kinda off topic but if you have any feedback on the B&M short shifter i'd appreciate it.

KKM is a great filter until about 6k rpm.

My choice would be (and is) a MAF adapter and K&N conical

The B&M shifter is awesome!

i LOVE my kkm filter...it sounds awesome, and it totally blows away the k+n cone that was on the car when i bought it(although the k+n was all torn up from some genius using bolts that were too long)the holes wouldn't have hurt the k+n's performance,i just didn't want dirt in the engine,so that's why i got the kkm..it totally pulls harder with the kkm than it did with the k+n...also the adapter and filter are both very high quality...i'm going to build or buy a heat shield(i'm not having problems, just think i might have even better performance with the shield)you won't be disappointed with the kkm,or at least i wasn't.. cool

I have a kkm and to tell you the truth I wish I hadent bought it. Iwish I would have gone with either sho-shops cold air, or and maf adapter and a k&n conical. Also I have e-mail Demon on this topic and he said that the kkm acually collapses above 6K rpms in some instances causeing a big loss in Tourque and HP. Just my $0.02

elaborate please demon confused

I could tell just slight performance gain when I got my KKM, throttle response seemed to improve greatly though.

And the sound eek I had a mess in my seat the first time I took it to redline. But I believe you'll get that sound with any open element filter.

You can get the short shifter from S&P motorsports under driveline, also a couple other places , just search for it on yahoo.

I'd say go with the Sho Shop CAI. It already comes with a heatshield, and as a couple other has said, it's more reliable at higher revs. I've got the CAI from sho shop, and i'm totally satisfied.

Give me more beer and CEG before i get depressed!

K&N is a much better filter (quality) than the KKM. wink Just replace mine with a K&N.
