Griffin - you can replace your straight pipe with a glasspack muffler . It makes all the difference in the world . Mine has a nice low growl at idle & a throaty acceleration note with NO drone at cruising speed , and NO rasp whatsoever . Make sure you get a "straight-through" glasspack (i.e. - NO BAFFLES) . The one hanging under MY car is a 2.25" I.D. inlet & outlet , no offset glasspack that's about 23" long . I just measured it for another CEGer 2 days ago , that's the only reason I have the numbers right here wink . Mine is welded to the stock exhaust , but I'd imagine it could be clamped if you wanna go that route . You'll like the sound with the glasspack in there .
