O-k...1st...I have seen the devil, and he wears a FORD Engineers hat! What's up with the 1 1/2" bolts holding on everything? Anyways...pulled off the front bank cover...the ignition box...3 front pugs in and out. At the rear...undid the the cap...little pulling...plugs in and out. And the verdict: So that's where my smooth running SVT went to!!! Easy smooth start-ups...smooth coasting. You know when you're in 1st or 2nd gear just idling along and its going "ruhh..ruhh..ruhh" (USe your imagination..no comments, k?) GONE!! Just smooth even driving. Amazing what a fuel filter and plug change will do. But check this...when I pulled the original Ford plugs..they were gapped at .06! Spec is .052, and the posts here recommend .045. What's up with that?

The gap will get larger the longer the plugs fire (normal wear errosion)

I gapped my plugs at .050

A couple of weeks ago I installed Motorcraft AWSF32F but assumed they came gapped properly from the factory - wrong assumption??

That is "always" a wrong assumption!

Never trust an unchecked clearance...
