Okay,
I'm now officially 50-50, as the CF trunk lid is not ready yet. It may be ready by the end of the week, but I'm going trunk lid hunting tomorrow (only day off this week before leaving town) for a "just in case." Is there any wrecking yard locally that somebody can recommend?
If I don't have a lid this week, I won't be showing, although I will go to get my "goodies" bag.

Pioneer autowreckers in Norwalk has a white one.
Lakenor in Santa Fe Springs has quite a few. As does Kilroy's in Wilmington. Ajax auto wreckers in Coachella has 2, I think. I'm not too sure on the colors of any of these- how many variations of "red" are there between the diff. models of post '98 contours are there?
I found all these on a car-part.com search- as I've been looking for a black lid w/o a spoiler- it seems whenever I find one, I use that money on something else.

Got a ton of sh*t to do to my car before the show! I hope everything is done before then! See ya all there and hopefully dion gets his CF trunk back in time! You should push them a bit to speed up the process because without some of us seeing this in person their order business goes...down down down.

Chuck,
Thanks for the leads, I'm going to try to find one today. Hopefully, I'll find something today.
There were two red on the 98+'s, but the Toreador red was more popular!

Found a trunk lid. It's hammered, and the color isn't the same, but it's on, so I can go now!

I'll be there with my 98. Originally I was going to bring my mustang (1966 Coupe) but it's being painted and is not quite put back together.

so is this what's gonna happen? meet at McD's at 6am? Im coming from SFV way up north, will this be easy to find right off the freeway? man, that would mean I'd have to leave my house at about 5am. im not sure we'll be able to make it there at that time, maybe 7. id like to park with the rest of the contours but i dont know if its gonna be worth feeling like poo all day while my kid drags me around all over Camp Snoopy.
i have to go to my broinlaw's house, right off the 5, wait for him to fool around and get his isht together, and then drive out to BFE! all im gonna do is just park my car and go to Knotts with the family, of course, ill have a few hours to enjoy the show before the park opens and the fam arrives. my car will look ok closed but its far from being ready to be on display with everything open. my system has been lagging.
