Unfortunately, the door switches suck on these cars. The good news is that they are fairly easy to fix! Just take out the screw that holds the switch in and clean the contacts on the back side. Be careful not to let the wire fall back in the door frame! You might check the slide function as well, and make sure that the switch isn't sticking mechanically. You can clean the slide area and/or lube it with some plastic-safe lubricant. Maybe graphite or something? Or, you could just buy new switches and be done with it for a while. Be sure to check the screw area and clean it if needed, as that completes the path to ground and gets corroded too.

Mine does this once and a while when its very very cold out. But for the most parts they usually work fine.

Can't wait till spring time to do some fixing up of little stuff like that on my car.

Mine used to do the same thing then I fiddled with that switch. But does anyone know why the inside door handle light for the drivers and rear passnegers sometimes comes on while I am driving and stay on for a while? (I am thinking bad connection some were, duh huh?)

Winter screws everything up!

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.
