Got the AFE drop-in filter for my SVT. Why drop-in? Cause after reading the posts, I decided the open element flowed to much air for my nex few mods. I had already turned the plastic "air-cone" upside down, and drilled 6 (1/2") holes near the base on each side (total of 12) of the little tab that fits into slot in the MAF, to insure sufficiet flow, yet still provide fresh air. (I drilled the holes on the bottom of the cone facing the driveway - away from heated underhood air). Anyways...e-mailed silverbulitt...pay-pal...5 days later...on the steps. Install took...well, you know, all of 5 minutes. Unplugged the positive cable for the 5 minutes. Reconnected...went for a drive. When the temp was up...hit it! From idle to 3000 rpm...feels the same...maybe a little easier spooling up. At 4000rpm when the seconderies kick in...definately spools up quicker. Since I'm all stock...I'm guessing 3-5 hp. Next week during the holiday a yodude exhaust is going on...and that should magnify the filter's effect. BTW...anybody need an SVT exhaust ;-)
ps...kudos to silverbulitt.
