I was similarly happy with my BAT setup. It's nothing overly-wonderful, and you do keep very good ride-comfort. I've had mine for about 18 months or so now, I think. Still great.
Just like you I didn't get the drop I wanted, and at times I notice it looks uneven at times too. Overall though I am very happy with it though.
As an overall statement I would say I got what I needed for the price I wanted.
