Ok here's the deal. Car stalled at a traffic light wouldn't restart. Had it towed to a repair shop. When they went to pull into the shop it started but ran ruff, stalled on them and they couldn't restart, pushed it into the facility. Couldn't work on it till the next morning, got in it it started up and purred like a kitten. They tried to pull codes and everything checked out OK except for a bad O2 sensor which it has had for 75,000 miles. They checked Starter. battery, alternator and everything checked OK. They found nothing wrong. Picked the car up drove home, used it for work the next day 35 miles of city drivng and everything is fine. Any idea's on what I should check or look for. Car has 110,000 mles on it. This is the first problem I've had with the car except for the CEL staying on which is due to a bad 02 sensor. Seems on the early Contours these O2 sensors always fail after a few thousand miles. Should not have an effect on why the engine stalled and wouldn't start.
