Doesn't the stock sender in the block only control the idiot light in the gauge cluster, and the sender in the head provide pressure data to the PCM?

so demon is saying the best scenerio is to "T" where the sender is originally from and then plumb the sender and accumulator to that. what about an oil pressure guage? should they all be hooked up to the clean side where the sender originally sat and don;t hook anything up to the other hole ?

It is not really an issue because you have a gauge to monitor.

You just set baseline pressures for idle and rpm points under load.

The points may be a bit falsely inflated since it is taking the reading before the filter but as long as you use your baselines for comparison then the gauge will do it's job just fine.

The stock sender sends a signal to the PCM. The PCM does not track the actual "oil pressure" but it does have preset code that can distinguish "too high" or "too low" oil pressure based on the voltage signal.

So if you happened to throw the stock sender and the gauge cluster bulb out the window, it wouldn't make any difference?

the oil pressure guage is good to go to the other hole then and the sender and accusump should be hooked to the original sender hole. sounds like the way to go to me.

it's gonna work either way, but with the stock sender on the clean side it won't be reading slightly high.

what size would the hole be in the block for the pressure sensor. i'm wondering what size my T fitting should be.
