Yeah though he was selling it. It is illegal, and even if it shouldn't be illegal, he is a teacher and shouldn't be commiting felonies.
Selling pot isn't a felony it's a misdemenor, like littering.
Wrong. In most states possesion over an ounce is a felony. There are also laws on cultivation, which is done differently by each state. Either weighed or just count the plants. 5 plants is enough for a felony in some states. Also if he had any amount near the school it can be a felony.
In Florida, if he has over 20 grams, it's a felony. If he had over 25 lbs being cultivated, then it's a felony, which I'm sure he had well over 25 lbs.
