I've heard of deals as low as $17K. My local dealer is knocking $7,500 right off the top (~$19K), without even worrying about haggling.
Yowza.
Can you give me the dealer name and number?

Sure thing. Check Freeman Mazda in Irving, Texas. (888) 374-7114
Here's there website showing the current Specials:

Note that I was wrong, it's $7,000 not $7,500... but, still.

maybe....but i've spoken w/ infiniti consumer affairs, and they didn't really seem to give a rat's rear. just said it was between me and the dealer and that was that.
but, i finally sent in my service "report card" survey that i've been sitting on for a month w/ nothing but "poor" or "fair" rankings, along w/ a whole half page list of gripes, so we'll see what sort of response that garners. not that it matters at this point - i've traded the car and will not look back...

blake, I honestly feel bad for you, because you could have bought another house by now with the money you'd have saved if you kept the SVT. That make you feel any better?
eh, i wouldn't go *that* far... i'll readily admit that my car-trading over the last few years has certainly not been kind to the wallet, but it's all good in the end. i've experienced a lot of cars in that time, some good, some bad, and the experience is worth something in its own right. <shrug>

re: NC miata - yep. i anxiously await its arrival on dealer lots in another 6 months or so - hopefully i can swing one as a 2nd car as soon as it gets released, but time will tell.
re: MSM - no doubt. my local dealer has theirs marked 25% off, which translates to just under $20k...and if i could've justified one as a daily driver (given my real-world "needs" related to getting married, moving stuff, etc.) i would've sprung for one of those in a heartbeat. awesome value for that price. i drove one and really enjoyed it....my plan is to wait until the NC hits the ground, then drive it and the solstice and see what i like. who knows; may end up going back and finding an MSM or a regular NB and turbo'ing it....we'll just have to see.

They have leftover 2004 Miatas? Here, the dealer pretty much just has 3 hatches and MPV's (2 6's, 1 RX-8).
