Hi all! I have 1999 Contour LX. I just wanted to know is it normal to hear a ticking sound after you turn off your the car. If this is not normal is there anything I could do about it?

Usually from the cat (convertor, you sickos). Yes, it's normal. Should start out as a fast ticking, and get slower/quieter as it cools.

The precats then? There are 3 cats on every Contour. If you have changed headers also, then it could just be from heat shielding on the exhaust components, or the pipes themselves.
