Did any one disconnect the fender hose to the end of the stock SVT air box first before they bought a KKM or other after market filter set-up?
I ask because when I went to the SVT filter from my original standard V6 one I wasn't happpy with the sound until I disconnected the fender connection
Also from the "Muscle Mustangs +Fast Fords" magazine article from Sept. 1998 on comparing a stock SVT to the Bondurant Driving School SVT they write (next to a picture of what appears to be a stock air box set-up of the Bondurant SVT) "This unique air duct replaces the stock silencer and directs air from the fender to the filter box. We removed the stock silencer on a production model and picked up 2 mph in drag strip testing, so this setup must be worth 15-20 horsepower over stock!
I removed the connection before I re read the article which I saved and while I am no Dyno it does feel more powerfull and sounds better to me.
