...wrong again guys!..EGR adds octane(slows the burn
in the chamber by introducing burnt exhaust gas
molicules that slow down the speed of the flame front
thru the cylinder).Hot or cold gas will do this...most
'new generation' engines are now using 'cold
egr'....Definition...Octane ,in any form...cold
air...damp air...egr...high octane fuel additives
ALWAYS SLOW THE BURN TO PREVENT DET!...Basic
'combustion engineering'....dig out the thermodynamics
