OK, as with the PCV post.... I feel there is room for more info in this area. Please share any info you FI people have on your EGR setups if you would be so kind I personally have the option to just turn it off and forget about it, though I know there are some of you that have decided to keep your EGR system functional or semi-functional. -Daymon

Ditch it. You would have to plumb it into the DP other wise.

I think only the vortech kit keeps it. With the ADC kit, its completely eliminated.

Seeing as it is used to cool the intake charge by reintroducing unburnable gaes and thus limit the amount of fuel that can be burnt (to limit detonation) it is actually a step back in an intercooled setup as the gas temp increase the charge temp. So ditch it and get the EGR function switched off in your ECU.

I've just left mine alone and had no issues and I've made plenty of power on pump gas, in the summer time in the hottest states in the US.

You missed a big point though.
It ONLY does this on deceleration when the recycled exhaust gas is actually cooler then the cylinder temps. It's used to cool the cylinders down because the PCM spikes the timing to clear the cylinders of unburnt fuel. The clearing the cylinders reduces emissions and increases subsequent cylinder filling with fresh air/fuel charge mixture.
The EGR is not used when under any engine load.
The main reason the ADC kit ditches the EGR is because it would be a PITA to make a custom EGR tube and hookups.

FYI to svtprodigy. There is a "Quote" button next to the "Reply" button that will allow you to use that person's text in your post.
