Yeah - a bit spendy though (29,880).
I'd get a base 3.5 SE and save myself 6 grand, then spend maybe 2k on intake, exhaust and struts and be more than happy. 250 hp aint to bad for a base price of 23k!
And no ricer SE-R badges either!
Seriously, if I'm up around 30k anyway I'd start looking at a 298 hp G35 instead (30,600).

No Kidding!
30k for a FWD car on an over-hyped chassis... Even with the sweet engine that's a BIG; No thanks!
Like Scott alluded to. I can't fathom even looking at one when it's roughly the same price as a G35 which is 5 times the vehicle and RWD.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Well back in 1998 I bought a new CSVT for 23,600.00 195 hp 7 years later and 65 hp more.....$29,880 is not that bad AND this car is built in the USA! no chop stick's for this rice!!!! see this car is as close to CSVT as it gets today.. If I am going to buy rwd I would get a car with more power than the G35 for 30K. Also I have owned more Csvt's than most on this board.. Ford sucks when it comes to fit and finish.

OMG........... Please tell me you are not choosing a Altima SE-R over a G35 The G35, while being one of the most beautiful cars in its price range, is so bloody fast and sleek and oooooooooooooohhhhhhhh so hot. And if you need 4 doors....... That thing is beautiful.......and amazing to drive if I must say so myself

Definitely a nice ride, but personally I'd have saved $10,000 and bought a fully-loaded '04 Mazda6 on clearance for $20,000. The SE-R is definitely fast, but the handling still falls a tad bit short for that kind of dough, and I just don't see where the value of the extra 10 grand goes to. I'd have gotten an RX-8 or G35 (coupe) for that kind of money. But neither would be 4 door sedans like the Altima is and the mileage and insurance costs would probably be more too. It's really matter of preference, and the Altima SE-R is far from a bad choice.
